Healthcare Development Program


The Foundation’s Healthcare Development program provides assistance for healthcare facilities in developing countries that are meeting critical needs in their communities. Examples of possible needs to which Foundation grants can be applied include:

  • Purchase of diagnostic or therapeutic medical devices or equipment to permit the development of new programs or services, or expansion of existing programs or services in order to meet a critical healthcare need.

  • Assistance in funding the construction of a new facility, such as a public health clinic or medical rehabilitation facility, or the expansion of an existing facility.


Medical Education Program


The principle focus of the Medical Education program to  support educational efforts of organizations in the US and developing countries, with an emphasis on international cooperation and scientific exchange. Examples of support efforts include:

  • Sponsorship of scientific conferences or speaking appearances by recognized experts in the life sciences;

  • Scientist or physician exchange programs to support medical education and physician/scientist training;

  • Translation of healthcare-related texts, manuals etc. into English or other languages in support of scientific cooperation and international exchange.


Scientific Research Support Program


The Foundation is actively supporting scientific research organizations in the US and developing countries that are performing research that may address healthcare needs worldwide. Grants are provided to facilitate the initiation or continuation of research efforts. The Foundation is also developing a database of scientific research organizations and their research efforts in the US and internationally, in order to promote international cooperation, scientific exchange and third-party financial support for these research efforts.
